Membership

New members are always welcome and may join the guild at any time. Guild membership automatically registers you as a member of the Embroiderers' Association of Canada/Association canadienne de broderie (EAC/ACB).

Annual membership dues for the 2025–2026 season are $85 --- $35 of which is for guild membership and $50 for membership in EAC/ACB (eac-acb.ca). Membership for the year officially commences in November of every year, but new members can join at any time. Annual and pro-rated fees depending on time of signing up:

  • November and December 2025 and January 2026: $85
  • February, March, and April 2026: $63.75
  • May, June, and July 2026: $42.50
  • August, September, and October 2026: $21.25

To join the guild, please complete the LCSG/GTAL Membership Form (online fillable form) and send it to the email address shown in the form. Payment information is also given on the form.

Benefits of Membership

  • Classes with experienced instructors in a variety of embroidery techniques and at all levels, from beginner to advanced.
  • Classes and free stitching sessions weekly on Thursdays, alternating between in-person and virtual meetings. Free stitching gatherings also happen online on Tuesday evenings twice a month. See our Meetings webpage for more information.
  • Over the season, five Monday evening meetings featuring a guild business report and a guest speaker or special activity
  • Guild newsletter in electronic format 
  • Access to the Members Only section of the guild website with exclusive information and features
  • Access to the guild's lending library of needlework books
  • Participation in needlework exhibitions and competitions
  • Membership in the Embroiderers' Association of Canada/Association canadienne de broderie (eac-acb.ca) with access to its education program, resources, events and activities, and subscription to its magazine Embroidery Canada
