Outside Teacher - Spring 2018

Needle Painting with Tanja Berlin

Date: Thursday, May 3 and Friday, May 4

Centre Noel Legault - 245 Lakeshore Blvd, Pointe-Claire

Each year, the guild aims to provide our members with opportunities to experience stitching several basic and new techniques. We are fortunate that we have many teachers in our guild who have reached a level of expertise and are able to support one or more of our educational missions. In addition to this, our executive provides a learning opportunity from outside our guild by inviting an exceptional teacher to stay with us for a couple of days. This coming May, we have invited Tanja Berlin from Calgary.

We have accepted her proposal to teach needle painting for three levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. In this way, all members experienced or not, can have the opportunity to learn from one of the best! Whether you are a plant lover or animal lover, we have something for you.

Kit costs for the three designs are given below. The additional $50 helps cover teaching fees, room rental and airfare.

Beginner Clear Purple Pansy $48 plus $50 (min of 4-5 needed)

Intermediate Iris $55 plus $50

Intermediate/Advanced Wild Rabbit $58 plus $50

Registration will begin at the evening meeting on Monday. February 26. Deadline is Thursday, March 29.
